Critters

Home again! Home again! Jiggidy jig!

I'll make this a real quick post. My 4:30 pm (CST) flight out of Tulsa was one of the few that wasn't cancelled. :-) Had quite an adventure with mishandled reservations, a plane seemingly frozen in its tracks (literally), and a connection in Houston that sat on the tarmac for the better part of an hour due to the cloud layer being so low that ATC couldn't see the runway (they were guiding planes for takeoff/landing using the ground radar!), but at about 11:30 last night my beloved smooshlings picked me up from the airport. *dances with joy*

I have to say, Tampa is a beautiful city from the air, and at night it's a gorgeous "Welcome Home" beacon. I love this city.

Today has been all about sex, food, cuddles, and video games- all in absurd quantities. I am a happy frood! I didn't even check e-mail until after 10:00 tonight.

I'm pretty sure that I've got some comp time coming for having spent 2 days out of my "long weekend" stuck in Niflheim, but I'll worry about that later. For now I'm just happy to be home.

Oh! I do want to share one quick, strange thing that happened to me. It would seem that I've got a doppelganger who was also in Oklahoma. Either that or another of my model has been deployed there as well. As I was getting onto the shuttle from the hotel to the airport on Sunday, the shuttle driver did a double-take and asked me if he'd taken me to the airport the day before. I let him know that he hadn't, but that I seem to have a fairly common face (I'll let you decide if that's by chance or design!). No big deal, happens all the time. But as I was getting ready to board the plane the guy checking tickets at the gate also asked me if I'd flown out just the day before. Odd...

If you run into me on the street, be sure to get a Voight-Kampff test before trusting me with sensitive information. I'll be V-K'ing myself tomorrow night just to be sure. ;-)
