The Evil League of Evil!

Joss Whedon's The Master's latest project is a goofy live-action superhero/supervillain comic musical called "Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog". It's silly and it's fun! Act One is out now. Act Two comes out tomorrow, followed by Act Three on Saturday. They're free to watch until Sunday.

If you have doubts about the viability of a comic book musical, just remember that it's by the same guy who created the "Once More With Feeling" episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer- probably the best hour of television ever.

Oh, and don't miss the Captain Hammer web comic that gives a funny bit of back story.

Quick Edit: I forgot to mention when I first posted this, but I think that anyone who knows Sterling would agree that he really ought to put together a Dr. Horrible costume for 'con. He'd be perfect!

Which season of Buffy is that from...? am only halfway through season one yet...

It's in season six. To be clear, I didn't make a typo- it's not just the best episode of Buffy, it's the best episode of anything, especially if you're partial to musicals. Don't skip ahead to it, though. The episode isn't intended to be a stand-alone, and you'll enjoy it much more as part of the continuity.

Since I'm on the subject, you've probably heard this before but I'll go ahead and say it anyway; Season One of Buffy is the weakest. It's generally quite good, but it doesn't even give you a hint of what the show is capable of in later seasons. You've got some really amazing stuff waiting for you. I say that as someone who watches very little television, and doesn't even have cable TV.

I used to watch a lot less TV than I do now...of course, you probably know that...which is why I had to buy the complete Buffy to see it...well that and I got a great deal on the set...I do plan on watching it in order...have to also watch Heroes, Babylon 5, Dead Like Me, and Eureka...of course, I have seen the first three seasons of Deadliest catch over the last three weeks...and I did get through Firefly rather quickly for me...I also got through Torchwood in record time...I think the only things I have been watching regularly lately, is Cash cab, Deadliest Catch and Swingtown...oh, and Dr Who...

we have cable mostly because we don't watch the standard chanels on TV...without cable or some other service we wouldn't get the chanels we do watch, like SciFi, HGTV, Discovery, and Animal Planet...:)

The musical episode of Buffy is the only one I didn't hate. I probably couldn't sit through it a second time, but every other episode had me trying to crawl out of my skin to escape.

I have enjoyed them so far...of course, they haven't had me at the edge of my seat...and they have been somewhat predictable...but I like Allyson Hannigan...and I love looking at Angel...could stare at him for hours...Xander isn't so bad either...and even Rupert has a quality about him that I love...(maybe that is because he is a Librarian)...

Sterling could pull off the costume, but he smiles too much to pull off the character :-) Sterling isn't tortured enough, but it would still be amusing.

Oh, and ohmigod that was awesome! I had a crush on Doogie Houser when I was a kid and this has only fanned the flames!

"The hammer is my penis" - it was worth it just for that line!
