LJ Procedural Question

Since I'm too lazy to look it up myself, does anyone out there know if it's possible to set up a security filter which includes, say, everyone on my friends list plus a few people who aren't? I dislike filtering as a rule, and generally only do so when I'm griping about work, but I'd like to be sensitive to the fact that not everyone with whom I associate wants their crimes against humanity brought up in a forum where their cow-orkers might read. At the same time, I don't want to exclude folks who have me friended just because I happen to be paranoid.

I believe you can only place people on filters who you've friended.

I believe that is the case too.

yeah, I think what you'd do in this case is friend the few people you might want to include, and then have a more intimate friends filter that excludes them when necessary, and potentially make some viewing groups so you don't necessicarily read their journals.

Of course, I pretty much always post open since I'm too cowardly to post anything that would require being filtered. :)
