Bizzaro Friday Thought of the Day

On Happy Days, whenever Richie Cunningham was about to go on a hot date (or the 50's equivalent thereof), he'd sing a line from "Blueberry Hill" by Louis Armstrong (or was it Fats Domino?). It was a cute little recurring gag, and a fun, quirky character trait.

I wonder, how would the show have been different if Richie had chosen "Rough Sex" by Lords of Acid as his theme song? Do you think Howard and Marion Cunningham still would've let him leave the house?

Incidentally, on IMDB someone asked when Happy Days officially "jumped the shark". *dies laughing*

Okay, but will you promise to call me Fonzie? ;-)

(By the way, that's a joke!)

That's how you know a phrase has hit the mainstream: those that use it don't know where it came from. - ZM

I don't have an "account" on IMDB, so I didn't get to actually read the post- just the subject line. I expect that it's meant as a joke but I could be wrong, and your point is true regardless. :-)

How about if he'd sung "I Enjoy Being a Girl"?
