"Good dumpster divers make good neighbors"

Our neighbors- the ones across the street- are throwing away a robot. No, really. It's about 2 1/2' tall, and looks like a cross between Marvin from the H2G2 movie and Peepo from Jason of Star Command.

They're throwing. Away. A robot.

In the spirit of both neighborly relations (and also in the spirit of not-getting-my-ass-kicked-by-femetal), I am not salvaging it.

This is character growth for me. Or at least I'm going to pretend it is. :-)

Oh No! That poor robot!

Yes - preservation of the neighborhood relationships as well as making sure you can remain in the house are both very good moves. But wait - does this mean you are..... growing up???? NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

And again....... poor, poor, homeless robot.

Do you think it will bide its time in the dump until the Skynet sets it free?

You're more "mature" than I am, I'm afraid. I'd have to salvage it even though I'm only living in one room in someone else's house and have most of my stuff in boxes cluttering up the shed and yet another room.

Chances are I'd end up throwing it out myself in a year or two when I discover that I can't fix it and I really just don't have space for it. But I'd have to salvage it anyway :-D

I'm failing to see how this salvages neighborly relations? :D When I put something to the curb, I'd *much* rather see someone take it who would appreciate it, than it go to the dump.

Now, the whole Kim kicking your ass thing.. that's an entirely different story.
